Life After Relapse, Starting Over
C5 Session 38 - Life After Relapse, Starting Over
Key Questions
WHO is responsible for correcting your mistakes?
WHAT are some reasons you feel you relapse?
WHERE are you emotionally right now in regards to your V.E.S.P.M. health?
WHY would remaining in a negative state of mind not help you, if you are trying not to have another relapse?
WHEN you look below at "The general process before any relapse" what stands out for you?
HOW can you change the way you look at life when "bad things" already happened?
The general process before any relapse
Disconnect – Loss of self-awareness – not present, not maintaining good spiritual health, not feeling motivated.
Insensitivity – unawareness of others – non-empathetic - having a don't care attitude.
Not genuine - not authentic, lying to yourself or others, or being deceitful, reckless.
Limited world thinking – selfish emotional reasoning – paranoia
Temperamental – lack of self-management – emotional responses inappropriate to the situation.
Indifferent – surrounding yourself with known negative influences, hopelessness, isolation, or lack of self-care.
Self-Reflection Points
Your desire for growth has to be stronger than your desire for pleasure.
Having a relapse can be an opportunity to learn something new about yourself that you didn't know before. As you learn you should grow.
Create a vision board or book about how things will be when your goals are accomplished. Keep it in an open place.
Life has its way of making Good and Bad (Yin & Yang) come together and make sense in the end. So don't stop moving forward because you think you messed up. Remember, forgiving yourself will be beneficial for you and everyone around you.
You were created on purpose with a purpose. Your life experiences will be different from everyone else's so will your reactions to situations. You are unique, with your own particular situation and story to tell. Use your mistakes as tools to help yourself and someone else grow.
What you may see as a downfall just might be the biggest blessing in your life. Only when we are truly down can our strength be released to get up. Only when we are truly down can we see people's reactions while looking at us low. Only when we are truly down, do we know if we have faith!
"All things work together for good. The 8 Cycles of Wellness could not exist if not for the ups and downs in my life
-Tamika M. Russell, CEO, and Developer of the 8 Cycles of Wellness LLC.
"...there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. (8) For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. (9) and he said unto me My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (10) Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak then I am strong" 2 Corinthians 12: 7-10
